FAQ

1WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO GET MY PUP SCHEDULED FOR AN EVALUATION?
It's simple… Just fill out an application. Once we receive your application, we will verify that your pup is up to date on all required vaccines and has been spayed/neutered if over the age of 6 months.
2WHAT VACCINATIONS DO YOU REQUIRE?

Our main focus is the health of all the pups. We require up-to-date flea/tick medication, rabies, DHPP (distemper and parvo), and Bordetella vaccinations (we also highly recommend influenza vaccination). In the case these are not up to date, your pup will not be able to enter for the safety of themselves and the safety of the other pups at our facility.
Rabies and DHPP dosage as directed by your veterinarian, if your pup has aged out of DHPP a veterinarian letter will be required.  Bordetella is required every 6 months. At this time, we do not accept titers in lieu of a vaccination.

3HOW OLD MUST MY PUP BE TO ENTER CLUB PUPS?

Your pup must be at least 16 weeks old to be enrolled at Club Pups. We also require that you provide documentation of all required vaccines, and that your pup be spayed or neutered by 6 months of age to participate in daycare and group play.

4WHEN CAN I SCHEDULE MY PUPS EVALUATION?
We schedule our evaluation on Monday and Wednesday. The evaluation fee is $38 per pup (full day daycare fee). Call / Email us to schedule an appointment!
5CAN YOU EXPLAIN THE EVALUATION DAY?

At Club Pups, we like to focus on safety and fun for your pup. We ask that your pup arrives at Club Pups at 9:00am. The evaluation is 2-hours and you, the owner, are not required to stay. Your pup’s evaluation involves meeting the staff, getting acquainted with the facility, and assessing your pup to make sure that they not only get along with the other dogs at our daycare, but also to confirm that their visit with us is a blast. All these steps take place for the safety of your pup and other pups at the facility. If you wish for your pup(s) to stay for a full day of daycare, pickup times during evaluation days are 4:00pm - 6:30pm.

6WHAT IF MY PUP HAS NOT BEEN SPAYED/NEUTERED AND IS OVER THE AGE OF 6 MONTHS?

We will NOT evaluate a pup over the age of 6 months if it’s not neutered or spayed. If your pup is over the age of 6 months and a CURRENT client (i.e. you completed your pup’s evaluation at an earlier age) your pup will be charged $65 a night for boarding and will only participate in solo playtime which involves the pup and a staff member.

7DO THE DAYCARE PACKAGES EXPIRE?
Club Pup daycare packages expire 90 days after the date of purchase!
8IF MY DOG IS INVOLVED IN ALTERCATION OR BITES/INJURES ANOTHER DOG AND CANNOT RETURN DUE TO THEIR BEHAVIOR, CAN I HAVE MY REMAINING DAYS REFUNDED?

Situations happen and life is unpredictable. Our main goal is to ensure the safety of all pups at the facility. While we strive to provide a safe atmosphere for all of our pups, there are times when pups can be unpredictable and lash out at another pup. In the situation this happens and the aggressor pup is deemed unsafe. The aggressor pup will not be allowed back at Club Pups. We will refund the clients remaining visits after veterinary costs are deducted from the remaining balance.

9WHAT HAPPENS IF MY PUP GETS SICK?
Club Pups provides a safe environment extremely serious and go above & beyond any regulations to make sure your pup has the safest and cleanest environment to interact in. Just like your office or place of employment, sometimes someone comes in who is sick. If someone is showing signs and doesn't feel well, then they will typically stay home so that they can feel better and not spread their sickness to others. We ask the same of all of our dog parents here. In the case that your pup comes in sick, we will send them home. Despite our diligence on preventing the spread of any illness, sometimes there are no visible signs of a cold and sick pups can still infect other dogs with their cold. Though rare, this is a risk of interacting your pup with other pups and is not the fault of anyone.
10HOW OFTEN DOES MY PUP HAVE TO COME FOR BOARDING AND / OR DAYCARE TO BE AN ACTIVE CLIENT?

Your pup MUST attend daycare and / or boarding at least one (1) time in a span of 12 months in order to stay as an active member of Club Pups Lake Norman. Pups that lapse in attending daycare and / or boarding must then be re-evaluated for admission.

11CAN PUPS BOARD TOGETHER IN THE SAME SUITE?
Yes, however, there are some exceptions to this. These exceptions are the following (1) if one of the pups is under the age of 6 months they must board in a separate suite; (2) elderly pups must board separately from younger siblings; (3) unfixed male and unfixed female may never board together; and lastly (4) pups have to be from the same household to board together (i.e live under the same roof at all times).
